Potty training adventure

Well... we are potty training today. London first peed on the potty a few months ago and has done so several times since but we haven't been pushing her to use the potty. I decided it'd be better to get her trained now before the baby comes. I've heard they regress when a new baby comes but at least she'll already be trained if she does. Hopefully it won't be too bad!

Several of my friends have done 3 Day Potty Training so I started Googling about it last week. I found a similar one called Potty Train in A Weekend by Rebecca Mansfield. She runs a great blog called Your Modern Family. I read the eBook cover to cover and our journey began!

7:51 a.m. — Up and at 'em! Here we go. London came in the bathroom when I was taking a bath. I stripped her and set her on the potty. She went right away! I figured that'd be the easiest part of the day considering it's human's innate nature to go when they wake up. We'll see how this goes!

10 a.m. — First time peeing in the potty on her own. We've been getting up and trying to go potty every 20 minutes. This is wearing out pregnant Momma! We just attempted going a few minutes ago but out of nowhere London goes running into the bathroom. I go in and she's sitting on the potty. When she gets up I notice she's gone potty! Big celebration time! She's so excited and she gets to pour the potty seat in the toilet and flush as a reward. We wash our hands and back to the living room until the next potty time.

11:12 a.m. — First accident. I asked her if she needed to go and she ran to the bathroom. While pregnant body was trying to get off the floor to go join her, I heard tinkling. I thought, "Wow! Third time peeing in the potty." Sad to say that once I arrived in the bathroom London was standing in front of her potty, with pee all over the floor.
I scolded her and made her pick the lid up and sit down anyway. I told her that "Pee pee goes in the potty." I went and got paper towels and cleaner and made her clean it up. I also took away her Cheerios and told her she could have them back when she peed in the potty. She wasn't too happy about that.

12:07 p.m. — Second accident. We did our usual sit on the potty time and the next thing I know she's in the kitchen peeing on the floor. At least it's tile! I made her clean it all up and we went back to try sitting again.

12:13 p.m. — First poop accident. As I'm sitting in the living room floor typing I hear "I poop!" Look over and sure enough, poop on the floor. Sigh. We picked up and went and flushed it down the toilet and sat on the potty again.

12:45 p.m. — OK, she just peed on ME! This has to get better. Please tell me it does!

12:47 p.m. — She peed in the kitchen floor while I was washing myself off. Is it nap time yet?

1:23 p.m. --- The potty terror has a pull-up on for a nap and she's down for the count. Momma is sneaking out to get Dora underwear and rewards. Maybe these will entice her. Pray for me!

Well it's evening now. All we have had is accidents. Not sure how this will continue!
